Ok so im a noob when it comes to cpus/thermal paste etc. I recently replaced my stock cooler with a aftermarket cooler and it is not any better then the stock cooler so now i am planning to get the hyper 212 evo. First question is, Does it matter if i leave the mobo in the case or remove during this or is this personal preference? Second question is, Since the thermal paste was only on there for a couple weeks, can i just leave it on there or would i have to remove it still and reapply? And I've seen people clean it off the cpu while its still in the mobo and I've seen people take it out, What should I do? Im nervous to make a mess with the alcohol if i leave it in and also nervous to cause pin damage if i take it out lol. I've also seen people use q tips or cotton balls whats the best thing to use or does it matter?
