Beginning earlier this week the internet has briefly disconnected for every device in my home, and then after around three seconds it reconnects. Everything is connected via Ethernet cords. As you can imagine this is a big issue while playing games and/or streaming on twitch. I unplugged and shut off my router and modem at the same time for around 2 minutes as I've heard that has been a common fix, but this didn't change anything.
In Overwatch this puts me out of the game for around 30 seconds from the time the "disconnected" screen shows up after a few seconds of strange interactions and then reloads the game. In Rocket League it takes about five seconds from when a disconnect symbol appears to when my game catches up. OBS takes about 30 seconds to figure out what's going on before reconnecting to twitch. This is completely unacceptable, and prevents me from doing any sort of live-streaming, or doing any competitive gaming.
If anyone has any other suggestions I'd be greatful to hear them. Using an Asus router and a modem given from Frontier (My provider). We haven't had an issue like this before this week.
