Just Build my first PC. Ryzen 5 1600 with asrock AB350M PRO4 Motherboard. i am not able to connect to the internet. just installed the latest BIOS for the mobo, insalled all the newest drivers, including the LAN drivers. and when i plug my ethernet cable in it detects the network, but says no internet connection. that makes it sound like a router problem, but when i plug it into my other computer i have internet no problem. i ran the network trouble shooter, and it comes back with "ethernet doesnt have valid IP configuration". and sure enough when i go into the ip setup theres no IP address in there. but there is when i connect the cable to my other pc. any ideas as to what it might be? maybe a bad mobo? i am lost i have been looking for answers for hours, but just cannot figure it out. again, all my drivers are up to date. any help is greatly appreciated. thank you!

If it hasn't been 14 days, you can return that motherboard to the vendor for a refund, at least you can with Newegg. Otherwise you'll have to talk to the manufacturer.

it responded with "an error occurred while renewing interface ethernet: an attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions"

Yeah, that is exacty what i am afraid of, i have this sinking feeling that it might be the motherboard. i will pull my network adapter out of my other computer and try that one and see how it goes. thank you for your help.
