What is this red switch on back of case?

Can you send some pictures? Sound like maybe its for lightning and the light on the dvd player but yet again I never heard of a dvd player having lights. So I am not sure. Are you sure its not just the psu switch? there are 2 wires, so has to be positive and negative. If one is going to a lighting configuration, then the other has to be going to ground, don't know why ground is going to a dvd player.
Sorry, keep mixing up the colors, the red wire is the one for the lighting and the yellow connects to a set of wires that eventually connects to the DVD player. As for the manual, the computer was a custom computer gift. I asked my friend and he said they didn’t give him anything for it.

What happens if you switch the switch to the other direction? I am really curious now as I have never seen this before as chance for me to learn something.
