Hi Guys, I just want to ask this some quick question. What is the best full modular power supply for budget?
My friend is planning to buy one since he'll be buying a graphics card on sale which is Asus R9 390.
His current power supply right now is CX500 which powers his GT730 before.
Here are the current specs that he have.
MOBO: MSI B85 G43 Gaming
Proc: Intel Core i7 4770
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 4x4gb
SSD: Kingmax 120gb SSD
HDD: WD Blue 1tb
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62
Chassis: NZXT S340
PSU: Corsair CX500
So here are some Power Supply and its price, available here in our country.
Seasonic M12II 620w - $76
Seasonic M12II 750w - $97
Seasonic Focus+ 650FX - $94
Seasonic Prime 650w - $119
Seasonic X650 - $120
Corsair RM650x - $116
Corsair RM650i - $125
These are the following Power Supplies that has fully modular that I saw in the store. Not sure about the other brands.
Personally I suggest the M12II 620w because I think it is enough to power his whole Rig. But I think there's nothing wrong in going more, so I suggest the 750w variant.
Price is no big deal for him, already bought himself an X52 for Aesthetics only, so I think the price is no big deal for him.
So what do you think? Is the 80plus Gold really worth it? or is 620w is enough? Seasonic or Corsair?
