Suspected CPU or MOBO problem

Hello, all.

I've been having issues with my first build from scratch from Newegg. My components (all new) are:

GPU: Gigabyte Aorus RX 580 XTR (at 1440p)
PSU: EVGA 750W G2
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500x
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming K3 (rev. 1.0)
RAM: 2x8GB G.Skill Flare-X 3200
SSD: WD Black 512GB Performance SSD - M.2 2280
Monitor: Acer XG270HU 27" 1440p Freesync

My issues are that the system reboots or shuts off randomly. Sometimes, the screen goes black in the middle of me doing something, and if I click, usually I am taken to the windows 10 login screen, and when I log in, the programs that were running are still running at the place they left off. If I run certain programs full screen (Quake Champions pack which came with my purchase and Sling TV), the screen will flash black for a half a second to a few seconds and then the picture will reappear for less than a second before flashing black again. I have run my system with a 500W power supply I have, an XFX Radeon R5 220 GPU (at 1080p and 720p), 2x8GB Ripjaws V 2667 RAM, 1x of each of the Ripjaws, 1x of each of the Flare X, DisplayPort cable, and HDMI cable. I experience the same issues with all configurations I try, which leads me to suspect the CPU or MOBO as the most likely cause. I experience my issues more frequently under load (especially Quake Champions), but eventually, I have a recurrence at some point no matter heavy or light load (currently, the system has been up for 4 hours). I have been in contact with both AMD and Gigabyte. All my connections appear to be secure. I don't think I know anybody near me with an AM4 socket board to test my CPU on. My MOBO BIOS is the most current F5a, and GPU driver is AMD Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.7.1, the most current version where my GPU achieves the appropriate frequency (anything later and it gets stuck at 300MHz). I have issues with both RAM at the frequency setting the mobo itself assigns (2133 & 2400) and with the frequencies set to 2667 & 3200 in the bios. My CPU never gets above about 60C and my GPU never gets above about 70C when I've been actively monitoring and had an occurrence. For my standards, the system performs great before there is a flashing screen or reboot/shutdown (for example, I just ran FurMark for 5 minutes at 1080p and to 100% completeion for its 1440p preset GPU benchmark and got 50fps avg which looked beautiful in that trial, and the GPU got up to 75C before I switched a setting for fan speed and brought it down in the lower 60s, with the system never having an issue). AMD has suggested I try the warranty route with the CPU, but I don't want to send in a perfectly good CPU if it turns out the MOBO is the problem. Do you all have any suggestions for my next steps in the process? I have found the responses to others' issues very helpful in guiding me in this process, and I hope my question will yield similarly helpful results.

Thank you all for your time,
Luke
