Hi everyone,

So I just started having the strangest of issues rear its stupid head out of the blue a few days ago and I just cant seem to figure this one out...

My network setup goes with cat 6 cables from the PC to netgear gigabit switch to huawai Modem router.
I can browse the internet like normal and watch Youtube just fine but whenever I try and download anything larger than about 10MB (sometimes fails after 4MB) I get an "Network Failed" error, But I can load a new web page or start the download pretty much straight away. I also tried playing Titanfall 2 and a similar issue - I could get into the lobby, search for a match but then would disconnect before it launched the round, same thing though as I could search immediately after the network fail.
I have a Freenas Machine on the network and I can transfer files from it fine, fully saturating the gigabit connection without any slowdowns, hitches, drops, bumps or snags.

Hardware - running windows 10
MSI GD65 Z87 Mobo with Killer e2200 NIC
i5 4670k
gtx1070
16gig 2400mhz ram (4x4g)
EVGA supernova 750 G2
3 x samsung evo SSDs (1 x 128 boot, 2 x 250 games)
1 x 1T WD 2.5inch storage drive
Asus PCE AC56 wifi card

Things I have tried:
Tried routing the PC directly to the modem, bypassing the switch and other cables, but same issue
Used different PC on the same network and no problem there
Used Wifi card and it works perfectly
Disconnected and reconnected all cables
Tried turning everything off an on again
Updated Windows to latest build

Im at a loss to what the problem is here. I need to have the machine hardwired into the network for file transfers to the Freenas machine, 80mb vs 980mb is a no brainer, and also for online gaming - the ping times on wifi are anywhere from 20ms to 80ms VS 8ms on cables.

If I have missed anything that would help solve this strange issue then let me know so I can add it in.

Any help and assistance would be greatly appreciated as always.

Cheers

Since wifi works fine I am going to point my finger at my favorite suspect for strange errors.

You have a killer nic which has that stupid network acceleration stuff...which is mostly marketing lies. These nics are known to cause all kinds of strange errors for people.

This is so bad that killer actually has a driver on their site that has all the killer features removed. Maybe that will help.

I will never again buy a motherboard that has a killer chipset. They seem to constantly be changing stuff to fix one things and break 10 others.

You sir, are a legend.... so far so good, downloaded the 64bit driver only and got through a 168MB download without any issues...
I feel a little silly now, as I had tried the driver check/ repair in windows to no avail...

Anyway, really truly appreciate the assistance here....
I think I will be staying well clear of any Killer networking as well....
