Intercooler hose touching fan blades at the back of the pc case. I was thinking that I can make a metal grill to cover the fan but I worry that the metal may cause a problem as it will be near the motherboard (staticly charged or something). I was also thinking of using a few washers to elevate the grill off the fan blades. Would this work or will the metal grill cause some sort of problem being inside the case?

Solution
If the motherboard back plate isn't bothering the MoBo, than the fan grille won't either. Metal works as a ground to make static electricity a non factor. The screws holding down the MoBo provide a ground conduit.

Bill has some nice fan grilles

You could also secure the hoses in some ay
