XMP mode wont boot pc

i have an intel core i7 7700k
asus z270e
corsair vengance rgb 3000mhz

i try to boot my pc in xmp mode but it wont work. please help

that is normal. I am using a different board and cpu, only 1 of the 2 xmp profiles stored in MB can boot but still unstable. I guess this means you can only go with manual OCing. Search online for successful OCing examples with your combination and start with CPU only first, use some moderate average voltage and frequency on the list and fine tune until it is stable. RAM is much trickier due to way more setting choices. I am still fine tuning my combo. Good luck.

i had a similar issue with this in my latest build, which was a newer BIOS that was released and would not let the XMP mode work they have since come out with a newer BIOS and everything works fine. Heres what i did

set the 5ghz OC profile
go back and change to XMP
set ur timings where u want them, sync all cores whatever ghz ur looking to hit

not really sure why this works but it helped me try it out!
