Random FPS Drops

So in basically all of the games I play, CSGO, R6S etc. I get really bad fps spikes that drop the fps down to the 20 range. In csgo I get around 200+ fps and sometimes it will just freeze for up to 6 seconds and then come back, also micro stuttering every few seconds. The micro stuttering also happens in rainbow six siege. I can not seem to find the cause of this and it is really annoying me. My current build has a Ryzen 5 1600 OC'd to 4GHz, a GTX 1070 and 8GB of DDR4 ram.

hi, what psu and how old is it?
did you monitor your cpu / gpu temps?

Search for "Ryzen FPS Drop". There are a number of causes (not directly related to the Ryzen chip). Power management, a few on LED light controls from different manufacturers (Gigabyte, Corsair), and others. You should also test without your OC enabled. Check your temps to make sure they are in-range when overclocking. Make sure you're properly powering your 1070. Let us know if you get more info.

I have a Cooler Master G650M and I have only had it for the past 2 years, My temps for GPU and CPU never went above 60C when gaming.

My temps never go above 60C on my GPU or CPU when gaming and my 1070 has two seperate 4 pin connectors powering it.
