Motherboard and CPU compatibility question

Hey guys! As some of you may have seen in my earlier post, my current CPU is maxing out when my GPU (GTX 1050ti ) is only running at 40%. So I've been looking over some motherboards and CPUs and I think I found a good match but wanted to make sure they would run well together and not bottleneck the GPU. My tower is a cypertron with 500w power supply and 8g/ ram. I'm just going for a beginner/mid build since I don't game all that often since I gained some hours at work and trying to plan a wedding. Thanks in advance for any input!

Yes, compatible, https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/970-PRO-GAMING-AURA/HelpDesk_CPU/

I guess you want to spend on those two to save money for ddr3 ram you have? Not a wise choice given FX is dead technology, get this better combo and still have room for future upgrade:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 1200 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($109.13 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock - AB350M Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Team - Dark Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($77.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $247.11
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

That's a 5 year old CPU that wasn't particularly good when it was new. The same could be said about every other AM3+ CPU. Please don't get either that mobo or CPU. The build listed above would definitely be better. Or you can wait a few weeks and see what Intel's soon to be released Coffee Lake CPUs have to offer.

It seems some people have has issues with that board while running a dual fan GPU, but this one seems more optimistic! I assume its more powerful as well...
