Upgraded memory won’t start

So I just upgraded the memory in my machine and now it won’t power on... well sometimes it will power on but then it won’t show anything on my monitors (says no input)... could this mean I don’t. Have a big enough power supply?
I was also going to upgrade the processor but the ram came in first so I went ahead and installed it... maybe the current processor won’t work with it???

Are the new Ram sticks in the right slot?

This maybe coud help if you have installed the incorrectly.

Or maybe you have not working ram.
One thing you can try in installing only one stick, if it works test another one. Maybe u hae just one bad stick.

They are... I took them out and put the older back in and it powered up and the boot screen came on... windows began starting then it goes black... wth! The old ram is ddr3–1333 (4,4,4) and the new is ddr3l-1600 (8,8,8,and 8).
The processor is i5-4670 @ 3.4
Mb is asus b85m-g

I am also planning on upgrading the processor to a Xeon e3-1241v3 but no one has it in stock... I’ve had two different vendors cancel the order on me. But if I can’t even get the ram upgrade to work......

Thanks mongolete, that helped it come on with the old ram again.

Is there any reason the new ram isn’t working? Letting the machine power on?
