good performance for price?

Solution
You know GTX 1080 is overkill for your monitor, right? Assume you will upgrade monitor later. Much better performance with budget:

Actually for the PSU if going season, route go with FOCUS series. Otherwise g2, g3 on evga side.
Yes faster ram.
Yes better cooler.
More storage for sure. You can use the current selection for OS and main apps if you like then have an HDD for games and mass storage.
You don't need an official purchase of windows 10.
You can get it completely free from Microsoft using their windows media creation tool. You don't need to activate it to use it. Activation will only get you the removal of the little watermark in the corner on desktop and desktop customization which you don't need. If you want a wallpaper just download the image file then right click it and select make desktop background. You can of course activate down the road if you like. So you can put that money towards better parts now.
Other than that you're good to go I'd say.
