i purchased a motherboard online recently , and there is no logo or or brand on it ( most probably its a generic product) and now i am facing some issues with it.
my core2duo e8400 is underclocked @1.8 Ghz although its stated on CPUz as 3.0 Ghz. and i want to change the cpu multiplier but its greyed out on bios setting..so can u guys help me update the bios of this unknown motherboard

bios is american megatrends inc. ver. 080015, 10-12-14

Solution
most likely this is enhanced speedstep technology. You should look for it in the bios and disable it. It just allows the CPU to operate at lower clock speed when it's not required to run at full speed. It's a power saving feature.

You don't need to change the multiplier to fix it.

It most likely is IEST (Intel Enhanced SpeedStep Technology) in effect. It reduces CPU frequency to save power, when power is not required.
Launch some cpu intensive application and monitor CPU frequency with CPU-Z.

And do not update BIOS, if you don't know exact model name of the motherboard. You'll brick it.
