Ryzen1600 too much heat with low volts

I oc my new ryzen 1600 stable after 2 hour prime95
3.8 1.200volt 71degrees
3.9 1320volt 83 degrees with max 90
I think is too high the temp for that volts.
reinstall heatsink with new paste mx4
Reinstall windows
Took out all the cables on mobo and put them on again
Reinstall ram
But temps still the same

looking at it, that seems to be the stock cooler. It's not cooling it enough. Advise would be to use something better, maybe a Noctua NH-D15 would keep it cooler. I've a Wraith Max RGB, which does the job nicely, and at 3.9 1.35v my temps max at 72c.

I wouldn't run it above 80c for my OC, thats my own personal preference.

like i said, thats too high. Either dial the OC back, or get a new cooler. The Wraith spire cooler you have is okay for mild OC's. It's just not cooling the OC you have on it enough. No amount of changing thermal paste will help. You could add in a couple of case fans, but really you need a new cooler. Temps at 90 is not good. Okay, they are stress temps, and your not going to hit those temps in general tasks, or even gaming. Still, you want the temps as low as possible. Your risk thermal throttling which may impact performance, and also reducing the life span of your CPU over time.

I know that temps is high but shouldnt be that high with that voltage even with stock cooler... I have read ppl run 3.8 with 1.3 or 1.35 volts around 70 75 degrees....
Can some1 witth stock cooler test 1.3volts temps

your missing the point. What one person does or doesn't get, doesn't apply. It's a guide. YOUR chip may be different. It may not work on the same voltages, or temps as another chip. This is known as the silicon lottery.

You have all the info you need. Your temps are way high. Your current CPU cooler is average for high OC's. You need to reduce the OC to get temps below 80, OR get a new cooler that can handle the heat output.

your cooler is rated as 95w cooler. At 3.9 (you can use HWMonitor to check exactly) your CPU maybe drawing up to 125w. The cooler is doing it's job I'm sure, but not enough to keep the OC cool.

I dunno , the wraith spire should handle the 1600 at that speed & voltage IMO.

There are plenty of people pushing 3.9 with max temps in the low 70s

That said , your ambient temps come into play here , most people guage average room temp as 21c , if yours is above that then obviously your CPU temps will be higher too.

Ive the wraith max, which is about 8c cooler than the spire. Based on the same clock-speed, and roughly the same voltage it correlates that the spire just isn't cutting it, as the OP's temps fall within that realm.

In addition the 'others' you refer to may have additional case fans in whatever config, helping those other posters to keep temps lower.

edit: agreed, ambient temps play a part. I'm from Ireland, and even during the summer we don't get much more than 18-20c. Right now its about 14c.

I have photos at 1st post from test bios and my case
I run 4 fans... 2front 1 top 1 back and when tests running room temp was 21-22 degrees....
4 fans is more than enough to put 2 extra on case wouldnt change anything 1 max 2 degrees
And i try to compare same clock same voltage same cooler to see differences...
And the difference isnt 2 3 or 5 degrees but 10+

I've the same amount of internal fans. I've tried to explain what the problem is. If you read the article and check the numbers you'll see what I mean.
