How should I upgrade my budget 2015 PC?

Hey everybody,

I built my budget PC back in 2015 to be able to run basic games and tasks, however it is now in dire need of some decent upgrading as my gaming needs have since intensified. I have a budget of about £300, here is my current build:

MSI H61M-P20-G3 Motherboard (LGA1155)
Intel i3 CPU (not sure of specs but assume very basic)
GTX 740 Graphics Card
2x 4gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz DDR3 RAM
500gb WD Caviar Blue Internal Hard Drive
Corsair CX 600w Bronze

I was thinking of installing the following (I don't know a huge amount about components):

Asus A88XM-E
AMD A10 7700k
GT 1050ti 4gtb

What do you guys think, does this sound compatible? Is there a better/more efficient/economical way of upgrading my PC?

Solution
Intel Core i5-2400 or I5-3450 will be sufficient for your 1050 ti. I7-2600 or I7-2700k are better but your GPU will bottleneck instead :)

Do not go for the A10. That platform is dead. If I were you I would look for a used i7 3770 or i5 3570 CPU on ebay and get a 1050ti. It will be your cheapest route and you will see a significant performance increase. Those parts will be compatible with your current motherboard and it will perform much better than getting the A10.

Thanks for the help guys. If I get an lga1155 i5/i7 and a 1050ti will there be any bottlenecking with my current motherboard? Is it something I should upgrade as well or should it be sufficient?
