Hi guys! First of all , i dont know if this is the correct section, if its not, plz i ask to be removed.

I have a question, my brother has a lot of used parts (from olders computers), and we are trying to build a new PC, ONLY to play World of Warcraft (and to navigate and so), i mean no render, edition or designs programs. This are the two options we can build:

Option I:
Mother: ASRock B85 Pro4
CPU: DualCore Intel Pentium G3260, 3300 MHz
Memory: Patriot Memory 1333 4 GB x2 (dual channel)
GPU: Radeon HD 6870
Power Supply: Power cooler 850w

Option II
Mother: Gygabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition 3500 Mhz
Memory: Patriot Memory 1333 4 GB x2 (dual channel)
GPU: Radeon HD 6870
Power Supply: Power cooler 850w

I hope u can help me! Ty

Basically its between the Phenom and the Pentium. Although the faster cores of the Pentium should be more beneficial for that game, there is no clear answer to that. If you navigate while in-game, the quadcore Phenom should be better, else the dual core Pentium.
These might be helpful...

Solution
Since you have all the parts, why not try it both ways and see which suits you better?

G3260 has a passmark rating of 3380 and a single thread rating of 1919.
Most games depend on the performance of the single master thread.

The X4-970 has a rating of 4376 / 1234.
