I would like to plug in my Kindle into my desktop and have the Calibre program open on my Desktop. I have Win 10 Home and have Autoplay on, but when I plug in my Kindle it asks me what to do with my pictures! I can't figure out how to tell it to open a different program, as it thinks the Kindle has pictures.

Solution
Apparently Windows considers Kindle files (.azw, .azw3, .kf8 or .kfx, depending on what Kindle version you use) to be image files.
You could try assigning the Kindle file type(s) you use to Calibre, using the "Choose Default Apps by File Type" option in the Windows Settings.
