Currently i am using MSI 740GM P25 Motherboard with Sempron 145 processor. I have played san andreas on it and i have dual booted with windows 10 and Ubuntu for my work purpose. By this itself you can know that i am not much interested in Graphics and just need prerformance, playing a game with minimal config is even great for me.

I was planning to just upgrade my CPU to the best that i can get under Rs.10000 (min 4 cores) and the best that can support my motherboard. As per MSI site compatible cpus are listed on this link but i cannot decide which one is best from them under my budget.

Also i have checked prices for few available cpu's from the list and i found that all those cpu are costlier than FX series (FX-6300). So i am giving a thought to rather buy new motherboard (MSI 760GM-P23 FX) and CPU (FX-6300) and increase bit of budget (but this should help me upgrade easily in future).

So to make it short
1) Need best CPU supporting MSI 740 GM P25 under Rs.10000. (I prefer AMD and MSI)
2) Best CPU and MotherBoard around 10 to 13K and will that motherboard fit my current Case
3) What do you suggest only New CPU OR CPU+Motherboard.
4) And yes i am not using graphic card but planing to, so some good graphic card at lower budget (so i can plan accordingly to buy it in future).

So thanks for being with me so far and for your help and suggestions.

Explain why you perceive that a MSI 760GM-P23 FX with the FX-6300 would be a good upgrade path. It only supports 95W processors; therefore you can't install a much better CPU in the future.

Can't you find a used Phenom II X4 955 (the fastest 4 core supported CPU) and use it until you can afford a new build based on current technology? The 95W (125W is processors are not supported) Phenom II X6 1055T (HDT55TWFK6DGR) may be a good upgrade if you need more than 4 cores; the 1065T (HDT65TWFK6DGR) is too expensive. I wouldn't spend more than 5,000 INR on a used CPU.

A new build that provides an upgrade path would require a CPU, motherboard and DDR4 memory; it probably would cost 18,000 INR or more.

Thanks for your feedback.
I tried to find some used processors but i cannot find a good deal (even it is costing around 4k, so i think its better to go with new.) and also i am not much comfortable buying used one.
I don't know much about the cpu's difference but i thought of FX because i think FX series is latest than Phenom and will be supported comparatively longer.
Actually i am too confused, what i find is latest cpu's (Ryzen 3) are cheaper than older ones.
I will rather try to find Phenom II X6 1055T at local stores, if i can get it around 5K than its good. But have to upgrade my Motherboard at somepoint because one of the ram slot is not working and i am stuck with only 4gb ram. So if in future i have to buy a new motherboard then buying a older CPU is not worth, that is what i think.
Thanks For suggestions. User CPU is currently best option for me, but i am comfortable paying more than 2K for used ones.
