I recently got myself a new setup and was inpatient about waiting to look everything through and bought this monitor:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KO4518I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And find that it only runs 60hz with my gpu:https://www.amazon.com/Radeon-RX-480-Express-Graphics/dp/B073646STC/ref=sr_1_28?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1506769952&sr=1-28&keywords=rx480 (no dvi)
and am wondering if anyone has a fix for me other than saying just buy a new gpu. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Solution
You need to use dual link DVI or Display Port (without adapters). I think with HDMI you can get it to 120HZ.
You can also get an active DP to Dual Link DVI adapter but those are expensive (about $80-100). I'd just live with a lower than 144hz refresh rate and use HDMI.
