ok, so right now im trying to get wifi to a room that has VERY poor wifi connect(119mbps down beside my router and 9mbps down at the room), and i have one ethernet port at the room that is connected to my decktop, so how can i get wifi to that room?

the router im using right now is telco provided, Aztech DSL7002GRV(S), if that helps.

and a couple more question if you dont mind

1.can ap/router act as a switch while functioning as a ap(since i have no more port at the room)?

2.between ap and wireless router, why would one buy a ap when a wireless router can act as an ap as well?

3. and if i were to use wifi extender, it seem like it would half my speed is that true? lets say i were to half my speed which is abt 50-60mbps, is the enough to stream youtube on 720/1080p?

4. and if you do recommend one of the above, can you recommend a product as well that is budget friendly? maybe below 100, maybe even 150 if its that worth it.

if you need any info feel free to ask

Solution
I have to great success employed the following easy solution to my home network which was blighted by a new build property with hugely insulated walls preventing any decent wifi outside of the room with the router.

My solution was to buy powerline adapters with wifi adapters built in. I bought https://www.devolo.com/en/Products/dLAN-1200+-WiFi-ac two wifi seperates one to plug into the room with my router and one to plug into the room my wifi couldn't reach. I didn't necessarily need the additional wifi unit for the routers room but it was an easy upgrade to ac speeds which my router never had. I turned off the wifi on my router altogether.

Basically for about £200 outlay, I have an ethernet connection in my remote room with speeds of...

Basically for about £200 outlay, I have an ethernet connection in my remote room with speeds of around 20-30Mb/s file transfers and great ac wifi throughout my home. It also allow me to set up a guest network and also separate 2.4ghz & 5ghz ssids.

Best thing is if you switch around the layout of your home these things so easily adapt. Just plug them in another socket.

I would also recommend powerline but I have never heard of the brand in the post above. The problem with a repeater is you can not place it in your room. I would pretty much need to do half way between so it gets a good signal to repeat. If you put it in your room it would get just as bad a signal and then make it even worse. This means you would still need a device to give you more ethernet port.

Still a repeater should be a last option. In addition to it cutting the speed you also now have 2 radio signals that can get interference.
