GTX 1050Ti.....need to replace my psu what should i do?

My problem is that I bought a GTX 1050 Ti....without checking my PSU (I know very stupid) the damn thing said 180 WT. So know I need to replace it. My question is how hard is it to replace the PSU and is it even possible to do so with my pc? My PC is a Lenovo S500 and my processor is a i5-4460. Sorry if I sound stupid

Wow, a single 15 amp +12v rail. I'm surprised Lenovo even bothered to put a PCIe x16 slot in there. I think (if it were mine) I'd chance a 30W GT 1030 in there. At full load, the card would draw around 2.5 amp. FSP makes decent PSUs for OEMs. The +12v rail probably is under-rated at 15 amp.

One more thing to consider...
Due to the location of the PCIe x16 slot, the card will have to be true single slot width. No bulging cooler sticking out to the side. And of course, low profile. Example
I just hope that cable next to the slot isn't going to be a problem. Kinda in the shadows so I can't tell.

I think you are in trouble. That appears to be a small form factor (SFF) PC with a proprietary PSU with Proprietary connectors. I don't think there are any upgrades for that unit. And standard ATX PSUs won't fit, and may not even mate up with the headers on the motherboard. Might be best to return the card and replace it with a GT 1030 instead.

Btw, what does the nameplate on the PSU read for the +12V rail (amps and total watts)? If you can't interpret it, just post a closeup of the nameplate.

Oh really...I will return it. Will a GT1030 work for me you think?I'm worried it could be a similar problem...And thank you for your help...Here are the pictures of the PSU nameplate.

Yes, that card would fit perfectly if it wasn't for the location of that cable/connector and header located right next to the PCIe x16 slot. It appears to be right in line with where the fan connector and header is located on the card. But I think the Lenovo cable can be bend out of the way enough to clear everything. Worth a try, anyway if the seller offers free returns.

That is a very un-upgradeable computer I'm afraid. Might want to save up for a better PC if you like to game...

I mainly play Japanese games so the GT1030 should be fine. I hope. I will eventually replace this PC though maybe in a year? Thank you for your help! I will pick up the GT 1030 when I have time.
