What resolution and refresh rate is your monitor? You could get 1440p 144hz, Ultrawide 1440p 100hz or 4k 60hz at this budget
Well, I may not express myself completely. It is for a friend, has plans to use it for gaming, and edit some photographs and normal use. It does not need peripherals, but a monitor yes.

There's also the 8700k to look at, which is available in about a week, but that will add an additional $100-150. Probably will add an extra 15-20% performance increase in games depending on how well it overclocks
