MSI Geforce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G Graphics Card

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB DDR 4 3000
This is an awesome PC, and I had no issues for a month. Now I see every 3-4 days a black screen flicker. It resembles alt-tabbing out of a game, and seeing a black screen and waiting for it to switch. Except it never switches. It just flickers different shades of black. This also occurs when i am not playing a game. Just random black flicker pulses. Some longer than others, sometimes ill see my desktop for a brief second, and then it goes away again.
Sometimes, it will cycle itself back to life and everything is fine. Sometimes I have to reboot the pc by holding the power button.
Very sporadic.
I have another monitor I just plugged in, and currently will test that for a week or so. That is my first step. Any other suggestions? I'm not a total noob to computers but this is troubling me since it happens during anything.
