Hello, just wondering if i can swap a hard drive that DOES NOT have an OS on it between two computers as i am between two homes and doing updates for games on two machines is quite annoying and not idea as i have to use mobile data to connect on of my machines!

Both have different parts but run on the same version of windows 10.Is it possible or not?

Thank you.

They (csgo pubg ect) would be playable. Steam would not recognize the games immediately, however, if you tell steam to install the games, it will find the files (forget if you have to point it to a specific file location or not) and re install them on the new machine. It's possible that some data will need to be downloaded, even with the swap, but if so, and it might not be necessary; the download would be far smaller than otherwise.

When you say programs and apps wont transfer, do you mean if csgo or pubg were on this hard drive it wouldn't be playable on the other computer?
