I have Windows 10 Home 32 bit, and I'm thinking of installing 64 bit Windows. In Windows Settings it says " x64-based processor", but when I go to System Information, under System Type it says "x86-based pc".
My CPU is Intel Core 2 Duo E7500. I know that it is capable of handling 64 bit Windows, but 1) I wanted to make sure that I can and 2) I wanted to know what x86-based pc means. (Probably that my Windows are 32 bit?)

X86- is 32-bit....; the 32 bit OS is merely telling you the CPU is indeed compatible with the OS.

Core2Duo is 64-bit capable (pretty much all CPUs from any of the P4's made after 2005 onward are) although unless running more than 4 GB of RAM, there are really not too many benefits, beyond the ability to run the apps that might be 64 bit only....

I was gonna buy more RAM, but today I tried to install 64 bit and it kept freezing on logo. Then I ran the installer in the iso file and it said that it is not compatible with my pc, So I guess I'll have to buy a new PC altogether.
