So I'm finally upgrading my rig and I was wondering if anyone could help me find some ways to save a bit of cash without sacrificing performance, right now I'm looking to get:

Ryzen 1500x $179 https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wraith-Cooler-YD15...

ASUS PRIME A320M-K Micro ATX $60 https://www.amazon.com/PRIME-A320M-K-Ryzen-Micro-ATX-Mo...

G.Skill - Aegis 8GB DDR4 3400 MHz $78 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/XJYWGX/gskill-aegis-8g...

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah a better CPU is in need. Like I was saying though if you want to save money Ryzen 3 would still be a great option. The non-X Ryzen CPUs come with stock coolers and can overclock to the same speed as the X models.
Get the Ryzen 1400 and a B350 motherboard. B350 allows you to overclock the CPU. Honestly, you would probably be just as well off with a Ryzen 3 1200 especially if you overclock it. And recommendation get 2x4 GB RAM if you get a motherboard with 4 ram slots. 2 sticks can run in dual-channel for better performance.

What GPU were you planning to get?

Put your parts in to PCPartpicker and start a build list like this one. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1400 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($155.49 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus - PRIME B350M-A/CSM Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($71.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($75.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $303.46
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I'm actually not building a new system but rather upgrading what I have now, my current CPU was bottlenecking my 1060 so I figured it was time for an upgrade, thanks for the response!
