I have a d-link router and a wifi extender from netgear.I want my extender to be private for me and no one else can use it wirelessly(the extender is wireless and can be wired).Like i want the extender to give me the internet "speed" priority.(wired)

Yes and someone who is determined can crack WPS in extremely short period of time. It is purely a feature for lazy people. How hard is it to key in the SSID and password most devices remember it so you only have to do it one time.

WPS needs to always be disabled on the router.

WPS is a badly broken protocol. Should never, ever be used.

There are some models that have more advanced functions but looking at the default wireless extender, you can not create a private network just for you.

The extender works by simply taking the signal and rebroadcasting it.

If there is no settings in the extender to set a different SSID and password then it cant be done with the extender.

You will be better off getting an av1000 or faster powerline adapter. Then you will have a faster conection and control what gets plugged into it.
Note this will not make your connection the priority at the router, you will need to configure QoS settings (if router even has that ability).
