Hi,

I've heard people advising that you shouldn't defrag your sshd or either advising people SHOULD defrag their sshd. I don't know what I should do but it feels like my sshd is getting slower (5 months old). I've analysed it and defrag says its 17% fragmented, my question is should I defrag it? Does SSHD get fragmented more since that smart disk thing or whatever its called is constantly moving files from HDD to SSD cache?

Appreciate all replies!

Yeah, formatting a SSHD is not a problem since it is the hard drive platters that will be defragged. The SSD cache will not be defragged since it is only used to store temporary files.

On the other hand, you should never defrag a SSD... unless of course someone puts a gun to your head...
