Wifi keeps disconnecting

Hi guys, just all night my internet has been randomly disconnecting every 5-10 minutes, it started whenever I played a game called 'League of Legends' earlier, and is still doing it now, it still says it is connected and the modem still has its lights on yet my connection, and my whole families wifi is disconnected.
I have to then restart the modem and it will continue working again for a short time.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? If so I will be extremely appreciative.

Make and model modem (or modem/router)? Age?

Could be overheating within the modem - be sure that it is clean of dust and dirt with good airflows.

Did you check all network and power connections to be sure that everything is securely connected?

Wireless USB adapters? They can get quite warm and even hot. Good sign of a pending or actual failure.

Trace the ISP connections up to your house and inside as best and as safely as you can. (No climbing poles, on roofs, etc..) Look for any signs of damage, corrosion, animal chews, nail/staple punctures, bare metal showing. Look at any existing splitters - they can go bad very easily especially if outdoors and exposed.
