Hi Tom's Hardware.
I have a bit of a problem. I went to a LAN-party, and when I came home, I went to setup my PC at home again. After plugging all in to the computer, I noticed it didn't show the normal bios screen startup, but went straight to Windows load (with a horrible resolution). Though there is no Bios startup screen, I can still press DEL to enter Bios and they GPU shows the bios menu, but with a bit weird resolution, with something of the screen not adjusted to the monitor. After loading Windows, the screen turns black. I didn't change any settings during the LAN-party and setup, the PC was just moved.
Then I tried to change to onboard graphic with the GPU still connected. Still jumps over Bios, but I can get past Windows load, without going into black screen. Then I tried to disconnect the GPU and startup again. This time it shows the normal startup Bios screen, and then proceeds into windows. Any ideas how to fix this.
I tried:
- Reseating the GPU
- Installing new driver for the GPU
GPU is MSI Twin Frozr GTX 760
Motherboard is Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z
