I brought the Hue+ ,2 140rgb fans and 3 120rgb fans. plugged everything in hue+ lights up but fans sometimes do sometimes dont. Hue+ not detected in cam. I'm not sure if the hue+ isn't detected the fans wont light up? I've tried 3 different usb cables. I've tried installing the MCP2200DriverInstallationTool but get "the current language is not supported by the device driver installation wizard. Even after editing the file to allow me to install the MCP2200DriverInstallationTool nothing changes. ive tried uninstalling CAM and reinstalling 10+ times. I cant try a different usb header as I only have one. I brought the nzxt hub so I can plug both kraken and hue+ in. Any help would be great, ive open a support ticket but haven't heard anything. Thanks

At this point, i have no clue why HUE+ would act up on your system. Only thing i can think of is that NZXT HUE+ doesn't want to play nice with MoBos that have Aura Sync.
In my Skylake and Haswell builds, i have HUE+ with NZXT LED strips and AER140 RGB fans working without issues but i have MSI MoBos in use.

If you end up returning HUE+ and AER RGB fans then for another RGB fan solution, you can go with fans that are compatible with Aura Sync. Here's a list of all Aura Sync compatible devices,

For fans, look under Cooling. There are 7 fans that are compatible while Raidmax fans look the most similar to NZXT AER RGB fans. Or you can just use the Silverstone RGB fan grille on top of...

It may take few weeks to a month before NZXT replies to you.

As far as HUE+ goes, you don't need to use the included microUSB -> internal USB 2.0 cable. You can also use microUSB -> USB cable and route that cable outside your case and plug it into any of your MoBo back I/O USB port. I did so when i ran out of internal USB 2.0 headers.
Said cable too: https://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-USB-2-0-High-Speed-30-004-06B/dp/B004GF8TIK

Now, i have NZXT internal USB hub in use and currently, my HUE+ is connected there. Though, it is possible that you can't use Kraken and HUE+ together when using NZXT internal USB hub since it divides the MoBo internal USB header way too out. MoBo internal USB 2.0 header supports 2 USB ports while NZXT internal USB hub has 5 USB ports (3x internal and 2x external).

Thanks for getting back to me.

NZXT have emailed me back but only once and that was 4 days ago.
I've tried 3 different microUSB cables both plugged into the NZXT hub and the back I/O USB ports still no luck.
Cant really see why I couldn't run both of the NZXT hub it shouldn't be a problem and I've seen others have done this online.
Think I'm just going to send it all back for a refund and get some other RGB fans.

Thanks again

I have few additional questions;
first off, why do you need to install MCP2200DriverInstallationTool?
If you install NZXT CAM then you can choose what kind of additional drivers are installed (e.g support for GRID+ which you don't need).

Also, when you hooked up your fans, did you make sure that the LED control cables between fans and HUE+ are inserted correctly? It took me a little bit of force to plug the LED control cables all the way in.

Oh, what's your NZXT CAM version? I'm using 3.3.0 while latest is 3.5.0. You might try to use different version if the latest one gives you issues.

Note: if HUE+ isn't detected by NZXT CAM, the LEDs inside AER RGB fans will shine in white color.

Don't be annoyed by the long response time from NZXT since NZXT is global company and there can be a lot of people submitting tickets but only so many customer support staff. It took me in total of 2 months (including shipping) until i got my problem solved when i contacted NZXT.

Hi again

I've googled my problem a lot and there's a fair few people fix this problem by removing the MCP2200driver in "Printers and Devices" then reinstalling/ plugging hue+ in.
But I don't have it,so can't remove it.
Currently on the new version but didn't work in the older version either.
Yes my fans light up white but to get them to come on I have to unplug then plug the USB back in every time after a shut down.
I orders them off amazon so I've got a month just under a month to return them.
Thanks again

Edit: the new version of cam states I have the MCP2200 driver installed aswell.

It seems that your issue is fairly common since i found a lot of topics with the very same issue. Sadly, there were no fixes posted that would help you. Though, the best/closest topic i found is this,
link: https://support.camwebapp.com/forums/252256-cam-bugs/suggestions/18368650-kraken-x52-recognized-but-not-hue

There are quite a few troubleshooting tips to try. If those fail, you're only left contacting NZXT and follow through the repair steps with customer support representative.

Just for info, what's your MoBo and OS? Also, do you have had any other USB issues with your PC prior to the issue with HUE+?

There are also plenty of LED strips that work with Aura Sync, so you can set up the same system as with HUE+.
