I Have a Toshiba Satellite P50-B, my graphics card is an AMD R9 M265x. Windows 8.1 64-Bit.

So I was trying to update my display driver in device manager, where then my computer froze and crashed. Windows then couldn't boot up, to fix this I then entered safe mode where I could uninstall my display driver which allowed my computer to start-up normally. I tried to install the display drivers using catalyst and crimson but neither worked.

Anyone have an idea to fix this?

As a thumbrule, please never use the device manager to update the graphics drivers (or any other drivers). That will almost always wreak havoc on the system. Always, first uninstall the old driver, reboot, optionally use DDU, reboot, install new drivers. The new driver should always be downloaded from AMD site.

But for now, please use DDU like @WiiUMasterGman suggested. Hope this helps

I didn't use that, and I have used DDU, but I think I may have found the answer, it's from a problem in my hardware, many people have the same problem and I believe it is the same for me. I believe I have a dead chipset, which many people with my graphics card and in some instances same model laptop face. I'm gonna hand it in to be repaired.
Thank-you for your reply.
