so my friend made me change some settings in my bios for my CPU and i want to make my cpu back to the stock settings. what are stock settings for the i7-7700k? if anyone knows thank you. also i found this place where you can get your CPU delided here: https://siliconlottery.com/products/delid i want to know if this is a safe trusted website and service that i can can use, and also if i do use this service will i have to worry about anything about my pc when the cpu is not inside? thank you!

Yes it will be as the first time you used that mobo. It's basically a factory reset you are doing if that explains it a bit better.

Hello, not want to be a spoiler or anything but stock settings normaly means loading defaults in bios. Still you need to check with hwmonitor or something if this is true as lately i found many MB paired with 7700k not actually go to stock on default... watch the temperatures boost clock, tdp ( at stock should not exceed 91w) and vcore voltage default for this chip in average is 1.248v at load. Multi core enhancement or such can be another ah heck default should be disabled. Depending of you cooling solution temps should stay between 60 and 75, 75 celsius as a peak at ambient 20-25 celsius.
 


Well, that is the stock settings of a specific motherboards as loading default settings will put everything to auto. Auto usually means a little higher vCore and for some boards it also means enabled core sync.
