Hi everyone,

A while ago my custom loop spilled water over my WD red 3TB
I ordered a new PCB to try out my luck but unfortunaly upon installing the PCB all i got was some error beeps as if the motor was trying to start up

So i sent the two PCB's to a company in the USA (PCB Solution) to transfer the firmware chip.
Today i received the good PCB again with the transfer completed but still all i get is the same error beeps.

Does anyone have more experience in this or a solution to make the drive accessible again?
without having to spend hundreds of euros?

Thanks in advance

Depending on the size of the leak, some liquid may have gotten inside. Drives are not sealed. There is a small filtered hole to allow pressure equalization.

If so, its likely dead. Get an new drive and recover your data from your backup.
