Should I divided my HDD in to multiple partition for performance increasing?

Solution
view your hdd like your bedroom. partitioning is like cleaning your room = less defragmentation over smaller parts = easier to find stuff = seek times faster.

one fat drive is like a messy bedroom, that sock you want/ under the bed. more areas for fragmentation = seek time longer.

also to note, heavy fragmentation will also reduce data transfer rates as the heads need to move to get to the data you want, more movement = less data being transfered per second.

so yes, imo partitioning does help keep your pc performing optimally. you wont 'gain' speed, but you wont LOSE any due to large fragmentation.

Solution
Partitioning the HDD does not really improve performance. The only reason why I would partition a HDD is to organize things better. Or better yet, in laptops with only a single storage option segregate programs / files to a logical D: Drive that way if I wipe the C: drive or the OS partition becomes corrupted, I would still have my important files. I never install games on the C: drive. Doing so would only inflate the size of the C: drive.

For my HTPC, I do not bother partitioning the HDDs I use to store my media files.
