Hello people,

I have an R5 230 GPU currently which has no hdmi and only a VGA which is connected to my monitor.

I have an HDMI port both on my motherboard Aorus X370 gaming k5 and TV.
I'm going to upgrade to GTX 1080, so my question is does it have an HDMI port? And if I connect it to TV through it will it display and can I play games on my tv?

Solution
Yes all 1080s have an HDMI port. Yes you can connect it to your tv. Depending on the TV there may be some scaling issues. So if the picture doesn't fit the screen properly look for a setting called native mode in your tv's settings menu or set the GPU to do the scaling in nvidia control panel.

However I personally hate gaming on most TVs since they tend to have a lot of input lag. Also if it is a 1080p 60hz screen a gtx 1080 is a bit much, even a 1060 6GB can max most games at 1080p 60fps.
