Hi , I have 4790k processor but the board I have is asus maximus vii hero , the thing is my board is not functional anymore i could not find any Z87 or Z97 Motherboards in my country ... my question is i am left with only non overclocking motherboards for i7 4790k ... kindly tell me any good motherboard that support 4790k non Z series

can this processor works at 4.0ghz on normal motheroards?

what else problems would I be facing besides overclocking ?

my purpose is gaming and 3d work.

specs are

core i7 4790k
asus maximus vii hero
8gb ddr3 kingston hyper x 1866mhz dual channels
1tb hdd wd blue
gtx 1060
500W corsair

Solution
You can pick up any of the b85/h81/h87 chipsets. There are no major differences other than overclocking. A gist of the differences are given here...

And your processor should run at stock speed(4ghz).
