Problem:
This desktop has an issue of hard freezing at seemingly random intervals. At first it was once to twice a week, now it has elevated to 1-3 times daily. These freezes happen whether I am running a game, browsing the internet, or even in BIOS. Only way to fix is a hard shutdown or restart, No BSOD, the last image on the screen remains there.

What i've tried:
Running memtest, no errors.

*****Running prime95 - computer freezes within the first five minutes or running the program. Ran along side Speedfan for temperature readings, freeze occurred at 56°c. At first I ran the stress test with 4 workers, got some decent time before a freeze, then I bumped it to 8 and it crashed within 5 minutes. Dropped the stresstest down to the minimal option(where it does not rely on RAM) and received the same results. This is my primary concern and why im starting to suspect the CPU.****

Swapping out HDD-
HDD worked fine in another desktop.

Changing filzesize-
Changed total page file size from default to not including a page file, on the recommendation of a friend, no effect.

Re-installing BIOS drivers-
Checked to see if the drivers were up-to-date, they were but I reinstalled them just to make sure.

Swapping RAM-
I've only swapped out 2/4 of the chips just because the other two chips are located under a large CPU cooler and didnt want to bother after seeing the results of memtest. Swapping two had no effect.

Taking to a store-
This desktop was actually taken to get checked at a best-buy or something similar by a friend. They blamed the MOBO, but my friend said he wasn't very confident in their analysis, so Ive chosen to take that diagnosis with a grain of salt.

Any help would be greattttttly appreciated as i've reached the limits of what I know how to do. Im not very knowledgeable on the subject, as this is my first attempt at building/fixing a computer. It runs like a beast when its working, just hope there is a solution to the issue, even if that means replacing hardware. Thank you in advanced.
