Worse PC performance by new hardware (upgrade = downgrade)?

So, I just upgraded my hardware and ofcourse, it should work better right? Yet I suddenly get more hassle, lag and delay on my Windows 10. Here are the things that I upgraded:

My previous Build:
MOBO: Asus B85M-G
CPU: Intel Core i5 4430
RAM (2x): Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 8GBx1 1600MHz / Crucial DDR3 8GBx1 1600MHz
PSU: Cooler Master GX-Lite 600W

Upgrade:
MOBO: Asus ROG Strix B250G Gaming
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 16GBx1 2400Mhz
PSU: Corsair CS750M

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bits

For games, the i7-7700k is indeed an improvement, still, have no idea why I still get lag on my Windows 10. Also my ethernet cable doesnt work since the upgrade, probably something to do with that new ethernet driver of my motherboard. I cant have access on internet, yet the light is on and it does work on my Laptop.

If you ask the question, what exactly do you mean by more hassle, lag and delay on Windows 10. Well, it looks like the bottleneck is not on games but on my Windows 10 right now. It looks like reverse bottleneck, so not on games but on Windows itself. Weird?

SSDs can be faulty too, even though it's uncommon. Check just to be sure.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, it is always recommended to do a fresh install of Windows after swapping out the motherboard and CPU. It could be this causing the issue... Did you do a fresh install of windows after upgrading, or did you just continue using your old version?

Continued using Windows, I thought it would not matter. Perhaps I indeed should do that. Will this also fix my ethernet problem?

Hard to say. Weird things happen when you swap hardware. Your ethernet problems are likely just drivers tho...
