Hi guys,

i was wondering how much ps would i need to run 2 msi gtx 970.

My current rig is:

INTEL - Processore Core i7-2600K (Sandy Bridge)
Noctua NH-D14
Msi GTX 970 GAMING 4G
Silent Pro M700 - Silent Pro M700 - 700 Watt 80 PLUS Bronze Certified
Motherboard ASROCK Z68 Extreme4 Gen3
Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9B Vengeance 16 GB (4x4 GB), DDR3, 1600 MHz, CL9
Samsung MZ-75E250B SSD 850 EVO, 250 GB, 2.5" SATA III

should i get an upgrade, which models would you recommend?

thanks in advance!

That is very borderline.
2 cards 300watts the rest of your PC from 150 to 200 watts depending on your overclock on the processor.
That PSU has 50A on the 12 volt rail or 600 Watts.
To error on the safe side I would replace it. Just gaming you should be OK but I would not run benchmarks or a full system stress test.

I estimate your power needs around 550W. If your PSU has only 600W on the 12V rail that isn't going to work. If your "700W" PSU has only 600W on the 12V rail that also tells me you have an older group regulated design at best. This means you don't even have the PCIe power plugs needed to run both of those cards. I advise getting a new PSU, one better suited for your SLI setup. (Or dump the idea of an SLI setup and just get the 1060 or 1070.)

so with this i would be good to go with a SLI configuration? no need for an 850W?
