MSI afterburner showing low GPU memory clock?

I was looking at various websites trying to overclock my graphics card and as shown here,
http://www.ocdrift.com/review-asus-gtx760-directcu-ii-oc/ the stock memory clock is around 6000 MHz, however in afterburner it's showing my memory clock to be 3000 MHz and 3350 MHz when I overclock it.

I don't think my memory is running at half of it's speed so why is it that afterburner is suggesting that it's running 3000 MHz slower than it should be?

Thanks,
Dan.

It means the same thing as 6000mhz I don't really understand it all that well but here is my best shot at explaining it.

MSI afterburner is just measuring it differently. 6000mhz is the "effective speed", GGDR5 is "quad pumped" so its "real" speed for lack of a better word is 1500mhz multiplied by 4. I dont know why MSI afterburner shows memory speed divided by 2, but it means the same thing as 6000mhz effective speed as far as i'm aware.

Okay thank you - does this mean if I have a +400 MHz offset on my reported 3000MHz memory it is actually +800 or is the offset different?
E.g if 3000 is actually 6000MHz,
is
3400 actually 6800 MHz?
