i removed the slave router to do a test.
- The modem connects to my AC88 on a 1gbps speed
- My AC88 lan port 1 connect to my laptop with a limited 100mbps speed shows in my asus router interface page.

is there a setting i can change to allow the lan ports to go higher then 100mbps?

------------------------ Ignore previous post below---------------------------------

my main router RT-AC88U has wan speeds of 1gbps but when i connected my slave asus router 2, the lan port only provides 100mbps. anyone can tell me how to increase or removed that "stopper"?

Solution
My AC88 lan port 1 connect to my laptop with a limited 100mbps speed shows in my asus router interface page.
this is your issue. your laptop is connecting at 100mbs not a router issue.
remove reinstall drivers or update them.

what laptop make and model ? or make/model of the shipset used for lan connectivity (provided by SPECCY for example)

The cable may be marked as a cat6, but if you haven't swapped it for a new commercially made cable, it could still be a cable problem.

Now I am confused. Your first post says "slave asus router" then you identify it as a "gigabyte router ac58" ...

BUT, a second router, connected to a primary should almost always be a LAN port to a LAN port with the second router configured as an access point.
Here is the sticky about using a router as an access point -- http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/36406-43-convert-wireless-router-wireless-access-point

In stock firmware, I don't know. Check the LAN pages in the GUI. It is possible that LAN1 has a physical problem. If it is critical, then get a <$30 gigabit switch and connect all your wired connections to it. Then a single uplink to the router. There will be no performance penalty.
