Hello,
I currently have a Rx-460 (2GB) and a Fx-4300.
I am planning on upgrading my Cpu to Ryzen 3 1200, (I know I have to get a new mobo, and ram).
I was just wondering if it is worth upgrading to a GTX 1050 ti. I know it has 2x more vram, but is it worth switching?

Thank You!

Solution
Yes it is,
the 1050 Ti outperforms the 460 in everything you throw at it. And, as you've already stated, has double the amount of VRAM.
For 1080p gaming is a solid choice for medium/high, but i'd switch directly to a 1060 3Gb/6gb or RX 570/580 if you have the extra money, those would make a greater impact in performance.

the system you have is fairly well balanced. I would hold off on a GPU until you can replace the trinity (CPU,MOBO,RAM).

faster CPU and the GPU will hit the wall. Faster GPU and the CPU hits the wall. which wall to hit first?

Hi bro!
I am with @manddy123 on this one!

1050 is not a bad choice at all, but save the extra money and get the 1060.
Nvidia cards have great support (I've been in both ATI/NVIDIA) and most of the time deliver good performance for a long time.

While you wait for that piggy bank to fill up. You can also test your system and how it performs with what you have!

Good luck !
