ASRock AB350M Pro 4 freezing?

Hello! I recently built a computer for the first time, I've been experiencing quite alot of freezing
my specs are:
EVGA 500B 80+ bronze power supply? (fairly sure its 500w)
MSI 1050ti OC edition
Ryzen 1200
ASRock AB350M Pro 4
GSkill Aegis 3000mhz 1 stick of 8gb DDR4 ram
- I re-used an old hard-drive on this build which I suspect may be the culprit

My computer normally boots, but crashes during game loading screens < mouse/keyboard go unresponsive and the caps light also doesnt work unless i hard restart. The thing is that when I do manage to load the game, it works perfectly for hours with hardly any freezes - up until a loading screen pops up again. I've been playing alot of Resident Evil 7 on high settings without a hitch for sometimes multiple hours on end - the biggest problem was getting into the game as it freezes quite frequently after booting < but after disabling some boot applications it doesnt seem to happen as often. this isnt exclusive to gaming as weird things like opening a chrome tab or clicking on a link seemed to trigger it sometimes - but not often. If I can run demanding games with this hardware at times for hours, why would it conk out like it does?

I've been told its likely my HDD or my RAM < my bios has all sorts of settings enabled for the ram which I have no clue about. I did lower the speed of it and I think the freezing is less frequent?

I've disabled quiet n cool, reinstalled the OS twice, tried to find issues with the sound card thus far. I'm fairly sure my motherboard had OC settings as its default for the cpu and RAM, could it be one of these causing instability aswell?

Could this be my ram or HDD, bios settings, or an entirely different issue?
P.S all the temps are usually around 30-40C so I doubt its an overheating issue.

Thank you! I hope you help me, I've been going nuts for the past week trying to find the issue.

Solution
You should take the motherboard out of the case and set it on the motherboard box. With everything setup test to see if it was a grounding issue. If it works right out of the case you may need to get plastic standoffs. Plastic standoffs

Yep! I did a fresh install of windows during my troubleshooting & I continued to see the same issues.

You should first make sure you have the latest bios for the motherboard. Bios tends to be the cause of most issues where the motherboard has earlier versions.

Try differant SATA cables and SATA ports on the motherboards. If you have another drive try it out to eliminate that as possible cause. Try reseating your video card and RAM by pulling out and putting them back in. This makes sure they have good connections.

Still crashing, hm... I took some pictures of my settings. Am I doing something wrong?

@Elbert, I'm fairly sure I have all of the correct drivers, but I'll DL that and double check. thanks! :) Will update with what happens. I did the 'flash boot' when I first got it - but I'll double check the bios.

Okay, I reset it and it froze once again, my main mouse also turned into a slideshow and jumps across the screen whilst my backup is fine.. weird. I'm going to purchase a new SSD tomorrow and hopefully fix whatever this issue is. I'm starting to think it may be software related. Hm.

Issue still happens with fresh windows install - all I installed was a sound driver and it froze up and instantly lost HDMI signal, BIOS is up to date aswell. No idea what to do now :/

Sigh. Looks like I'll be sending back the motherboard. Do you think it could be anything else? The signal randomly dies out - could it be my graphics card as well? ; /

And the motherboard just went up in price 20$ and Amazon won't allow an exchange for it. Sigh. I should of went with a prebuilt.. itd of been cheaper at this point.

Ryzen Is picky about ram aswell, could this all be a silly ram issue? It seemed to be less frequent when I messed with the ram settings. It's AEGIS gskill ddr4, F4-300C16S-8GISB

Ordered a 1060 new motherboard and case.. refunding all the old components. Definitely not worth my time at this point! Thanks for all of your help though :). You've been wonderful Elbert and vapour.
