Hi,

Motherboard: Asus B85-plus
Videocart: MSI GTX-1070 8G RAM
CPU: I7 4770
RAM: 24 G

When I render in Premiere Pro(Preset youtube 2160p 4K, file was 5 min 4K video) my CPU goes to a temperature of 60-65C°.(Youtube was also playing and doing something in Photoshop.)

But the cores give(in AIDA64 extreme):

CPU IA Cores 95°C
CPU GT Cores 95°C
CPU #1/Kern#1 95°C
CPU #1/Kern#2 92°C
CPU #1/Kern#3 91°C
CPU #1/Kern#4 88°C

Use of CPU is between 90-100% in task manager.

Should I worry about the cores temperatures?

After rendering all temperatures turn back to 38°C.

Is it possible to 'kill' a CPU? And how I would notice this would happen?

Greetings and thanks in advance,

Guido

I'm not sure why you're seeing different temps for your core though.

I would install different temp monitoring software to see what they say about core temps. Core Temp is a program that will do this and also has the TJ Maxx temp, which is the temp in which the CPU will throttle down to prevent damage.

Have a look at this Intel Temperature Guide - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1800828/intel-temperature-guide.html

It's a lot of info, but it should tell you what you need if you look through it.

Your core temps are too hot, so take measures to reduce the temperature. Clean any dust buildup, ensure proper airflow, reapply thermal paste, and if need be upgrade to a better cooler.

Hi,

I found this tool:

http://mion.faireal.net/BES/

and with cpu usage set to max 2/3 of the cability of the CPU core temperatures don't go above 80%.

Greetz,

Guido
