Do they still make Motherboards for a LGA 1155 socket?

I have a Intel i5-3570K processor. I'm looking to upgrade my system and want to change from DDR3 ram to DDR4. My current motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H.

I've been looking on scan.co.uk and I can't find any that fit this socket type.

Are motherboards with this socket no longer produced?

LGA 1155 motherboards are no longer in production and most of them have been sold out. You can't run DDR4 memory on them anyway. If you want to upgrade you'll have to switch processors as well.

Well the i5-3570k doesn't support DDR4, so that won't work. Memory controller is integrated into the CPU. DDR3 is basically all it can do.

To answer the base question, probably not. Intel's fabs switch to making new chipsets for new processors. If there is anyone out there manufacturing new LGA1155 boards they could be using stock of already manufactured parts. Though I imagine most just keep stockpiles of boards.

Certainly not any common retail carriers with them at reasonable prices. Excepting a few mass produced models of MicroATX boards that are still around.

Obsolete, 1156 gen 1 core I series, 1155 gen 2 and 3, 1150 gen 4 and 5, 1151, gen 6 and 7 and move to DDR4, and tomorrow 1151v2 with gen 8. 5 years is ancient in PC tech. My Z77 died and I weep for my I5-2500K.
