PC Keeps Shutting Off

Hey hope you can help!

I recently purchased a used Zotac GTX 580 GPU and put it in my system. Now it seems whenever I run a game like Fifa 17, the whole computer turns off though the power led stays lit. Pressing the power button doesn't do anything and I have to switch off the psu and wait a minute before turning it back on which then turns the PC back on.

I have a 750w Ace Psu which I only bought last year and after doing psu calculations, my PC only comes to 480w or so.

My specs are:

AMD Athlon x4 740
8GB RAM
Asrock Fm2a55m-dgs
Zotac GTX 580
Ace 750w PSU
128Gb Samsung SSD
1tb WD HDD

Also, when I play a game I know worked fine on my old GPU (a HD7770) like Fifa 17 at 720p, the same thing happens...

Any ideas?

Kieran.

Solution
Yeah, you need to replace that PSU with a better quality unit.

Having to flip the switch on the PSU means your machine is drawing more than the PSU can take so the protection is kicking in to save your parts.

You don't need bigger as in more wattage, you need better quality.

Something like a Seasonic Focus 650W Gold would be good, or a G-650W if you are on a budget.
