So a few years ago I bought the Nvidia GTX 980 but sadly it got damaged/broken a few days ago and I need a new one asap, I'm looking for a new graphic card and I'm deciding between these two: the 1060 and the 1070 I'm leaning more towards the 1060 but is the 1070 a lot better than the 1060? is it the really worth the extra money? I'm just trying to get one with a similar or even better performance than the one I had.
Should I buy Nvidia GTX 1060 or 1070?

Depends on the res you're playing at. The 1060 6GB is roughly equivalent to a 980 but is really suited to 1080p in modern games. A 1070 is pretty much the best 1440p value for money card on the market.

Neither. With crypto-mining still in full swing, 1070 cards are highly over-priced. So much so that you can get gtx1080's for less money than a 1070 if you look around for them. Being a 1080, you'd not need a top-line card to get 1070 or better performance. So grab the cheapest decent 1080 you can find.
