Synology Router + Sitecom Bridge/repeater

Hi there,

Hopefully someone can help me on this forum.
I checked the stickies, and while they come close to answering my question, I was still not completely satisfied.

I have a Synology RT2600ac router, with two WLAN's (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz).
The range of the WiFi could not reach my third floor, so I want to extend/repeat the signal using a Sitecom WLX-7000.

Preferably, I want the same WLAN extended, so that my mobile phone stays connected.
Is that possible?
Also, my WiFi-printer (on the third floor, probably wireless connected to the Sitecom) should be accessible from my laptop on the first floor (wireless connected to the Synology Router).

I have an option called "client bridge" in the WLAN-settings of the Sitecom WLX-7000. However, I could not find any explanation how to set it up, or what is does.

My idea was to connect the Sitecom to the Synology, using a network cable, set the Sitecom in client bridge modus, and connect to the WiFi WLAN of the Synology. Is this the way to go?
Or should I use the WPS (OPS) button on the Sitecom to connect to the Synology?
Or is the AP modus on the Sitecom the correct way?

Or is this (with the current hardware) not possible, and should I be settle for different WLAN's and that my mobile switches to the other WLAN, whenever I walk past it?
Or is there (affordable) hardware which can accomplish my wishes?

These are brands I am not real familiar with.

If your plan is to connect the devices via a cable then you are using the sitecom device as a AP. Client-bridge is the reverse it acts as a end device and connect via wireless to the router. Never use WPS disable it both on the AP and the router it has major security flaws.

If you can get good placement it should work well to get coverage.

It will act all as 1 big network and all your devices should be able to communicate. The part you will not likely get to work is switching between the 2 devices well. This is not a issue with the router or AP it is you phone that is the problem. The end device decides when to switch and they tend to always prefer to stay connected to some device...

The end device decides when to switch and they tend to always prefer to stay connected to some device and not switch until the signal degrades greatly. You could place the phone on top of the other router/AP and it would not switch and continue to use the signal from the device farther away.

No real way to fix that. The phone only has a single radio and it has no way to even know another signal exists. If it attempt to scan for it you would take a short disconnection all the time so it does not scan until the signal level drops to some value that you can change to a point. (at least on a PC WiFi you can). If you set it to low it will constantly jump back and forth and be scanning so you get a different problem.
